Default Could someone help me understand the radiator fan control system more. I'm overheating with an

SPP EFK wired to the "stock" EFK. I noticed with my a/c off my fans do not come on. I even drove the car for 30 minutes, came home turned off the AC and poped the hood and my fans werent on.

I researched it a little more: I just replaced the radiator fan thermoswitch (F54/F18) . I dont believe It comes on fan speed 3.

On the switch I brought It says from 95 Celisus 1-2 and 102 Celisus 3-4.

I'm only overheating, after the car is warmed up and idles for 7+ mins. The temp slow increases In 75+ degree weather.

Is this causing my overheating or something else?
(already burped the system)
TIA

Default How do you have the EFK wired?

You have it spliced into where the old AC fan wiring?

Default you need to add a separate fan controller (manual switch or thermostatic like SPAL or flex-a-lite)

From what I've seen the stock electric fan is controlled only to come on with the AC and major overheating.

I use a flex-a-lite variable speed controller for my efk. The archives have some good discussions.

Default I had the same problem a few with my electric fans a few months ago.

Ended up being a bad fan controller as well as a bad electric fan. Replaced both and now its fine. My guess is the fan went bad first and then the controller burnt out trying to start the bad fan.]

I'm not sure how you're SPP EFK may affect this though.

Default Confirmed, this works perfectly, without overloading the OE fan circuit (less than 15AMP draw)

I had my EFK wired directly to the other fan that is behind the radiator. If that fan turns on, so will the aftermarket fan. Simple as that, and they both work at fan speed 1 and fan speed 2.

If you notice that both fans are not coming on unless the AC is on, check the switch at the lower rad hose, by the radiator. This is what controls that fan behind the radiator. I have schematics if you need them.
