Default Lotta money!

96 Infiniti $17K (self)
99 Dodge Durango $27K (wife)

Age Late 40s

Looking to replace Infiniti with used or new but low-option A4. Would dearly love an S4 but can't force myself to spend $40K for a car.

Default Not so conservative

Car: $40k plus taxes
Net Worth: $265k (before car purchase)
Liquid assets: $170k (the rest in retirement)
Debt: none (that took some doing)
Income: $85-100k (between jobs)
Age: 41
No alimony!

This doesn't count my signif other, who has good income, and just a bit of savings/retirement.

Default So far most posters are pretty conservative, with either high assets or income...

In my case, I'm not quite either!

Keep 'em coming, if you please.

Notice I posted in this forum, because the A4 is a relative bargain, and the A6 forum is just too sleepy. The A8 forum would be another class of car altogether. S4 buyers are the category I'm looking at: about $35-44k cars.

Default Thank god there I am not alone....

After seeing those who state that they are 30 and make 300K+ a year, I was feeling depressed. At least there is one other person in my same situation...
