Default G-Tech opinions?

Has anyone out there tried out that G-Tech gismo advertized on TV? It's supposed to give you accurate 0-60, 1/4 mi, lateral g's, etc.

I'd like to hear comments & impressions of anyone who has used it. Is it professionally done, or is it really just a gadget? Any comments on it's accuracy? How much data can it hold? Does it have any impressive features that aren't announced in the ad?

If you bought one, would you do regret doing so?

Default Re: G-Tech opinions?

I don't own one, but have read posts from people who do. They seem to be quite precise, ie. very little variability between runs, but not quite as accurate ie. off by a bit compared to people who have used them while at the track. In general, the 1/4 mile times tend to be a bit quicker and the trap speeds a bit faster compared to the track. They are good for tuning however because they are precise. Therefore, if you do some mods on the car, it'll give you a good idea how effective they are. Also, if you run it at the track and see how much it is off by, it should be off by roughly that same amount every run after that. Hope that helps.
