Got my brothers car back from KO4 and clutch swap, MTM stage 1 software, couple questions.....
We piggied his downpipes while we were in there but no fueling. Is his car safe to run that way, any issues with fuel cut on the MTM software, or other issues that we may need to address with running KO4s without fueling?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Like AMS/ABT or APR, I don't recall seeing any issues with MTM.....
IIRC, I think GIAC is the only one that's prone to TC and overboosting when running K04s with K03 software, which I think may be associated to the fact that GIAC being the most aggressive program out of the 4.
You may want to tell him to run a bottle of FI cleaner such as Techron once every 5K miles or so, to prevent running lean. Also, I am fairly certain that both AMS/ABT and APR softwares do not deal well with MBCs, but I am not sure about MTMs.

AFAIK, all chips will overboost without MBC. Also...
you will likely run lean up top because the boost won't taper as much as with K03s. Since the injectors are already max'd on K03s up top, you can bet they'll be maxed with K04s. Exactly what AFR this translates to I don't know.

Some of these chips don't do well with the MBC in standalone. In parallel, it's just fine....
If your N75 is working properly, you should be able to run the K04's just fine with the K03 code. HOWEVER, like the other guys said, just to be safe (in case the N75 doesn't work quite right), I would put an MBC in parallel and get a 5bar FPR.

If he is going to do all that, he might as well just upgrade
According to MTM, the upgrade in software is only $175 and all he needs to do is find RS4 injectors, fuelrail adaptors and upgrade fuel pump. On top of the 5bar FPR that most of you are recommending already. And considering the average age and milage of our cars, it may be wise to upgrade the fuel pump anyway if he is planning on upgrading to 5bar FPR.
He doesn't have to pay top dollar for the RS4 parts as they do surface in the classified section here on AW or AZ from time to time. The injectors will be the only costly part as the adaptors are only ~$13 from ECS and I would think that he will be able to use 044 fuel pump instead of the RS4 fuel pump.<ul><li><a href="http://www.hoppenmotorsport.com/Audi.S4.B5.Tuning.htm">http://www.hoppenmotorsport.com/Audi.S4.B5.Tuning.htm</a</li></ul>
