Help! Front door locks
Just started, my 2000 s4 front locks stoped popping up they go down but not up the back works fine and the trunk also works, so any idea?

Both at the same time, more than likely it is the source that controls them all. Try the plug then break out a volt meter and check continuity and voltage.

The central locking on these cars is a vacuum system.
As far as I can tell from the ETKA piping diagram, there is no separate control for individual locks, the whole system either opens or closes with a pulse from the pump.
Both front door locks failing sounds like a weak or failing pump.
Very common on these models, and quite cheaply repairable if you're the DIY type.
Could also be a leaking hose, but the hoses for each front door separate at the distributing fitting which is in the boot (trunk), so both failing at once says more about a weak pump than a leaking hose.
Most likely leak source would be the loom fitting at the door hinges.
