01 exhaust,chipped. stock besides that. sometimes while driving, i'll go to get on it a little and i can tell the turbos arent even spooling. no power at all. happened about 5 times driving it from Georgia to new Jersey. no idea what is it. any ideas?

and once i turn off the car and turn it back on, its like there was never any problem.

Sounds like it might be going into limp mode. Scan for codes, probably EGT would be my first guess.

I think im having the same problem in my car. Yesterday i went to pass some jetta who thinks he the **** and then my turbos arent spooling till like 4k revs. Then I pick my friend up we got some coffee and hang out for an hour. I start my car, we have the windows down, and I can hear the turbos kicking in at like 2,800 rpm. Im wondering its its limp mode. >_<

and how would i go about fixing limp mode. just clear the code? and secondary random thing. just wondering what kinda oil you guys use. bout time for a change

could also be a boost leak... ecu senses there's a fairly large leak, lets cut boost to a minimum.

I just solved mine.. Repaired a shifter rod ball socket and realized couple days ago that I forgot to tighten the y-pipe hoses... OOPS. get on it.. power power..BAAAAUAUUUGGGGGGG... right on it's face. again.. oops. I was too giddy and excited about changing the ball socket that I missed to hose clamps.

Oh ya..Mobile one 5W-30...

and you could erase the codes, but it'd be best to read them first and find out what's yelling. Once you know the codes, then you'll know where to look for the prob.
