I think that's doable. The A6 TDI 6 speed has a tall 6th.

Default I would be far more inclined to purchase the stasis unit if it had the tall 6th. Would be a huge

benefit to me.

I'm waiting on a regular Stasis rebuilt to fix my 2nd gear problems. Couldn't afford the Close Ratio

Default Hrm...I've actually run out of 5th gear once. It redlines at approximately 150 mph I think.

While I'd like a taller 6th gear I dunno if I'd want to lose 5th as it's a fun gear when you're playing in the triple digits...

well if anyone on here can nor confirm or deny because sounds like nobody has experience with the Stasis Engineering Close Ratio Race Transmission. here is my experience with the close ratio tranny.

the start of the build i sent my tranny to them in sanoma california. thats where their tranny shop is located. they do have another shop in west va. but shipping was around $350. it took them about a week to break it down and get back to me for the extent of the repairs. my 01E was pretty chewed up from track racing. anyways Cris Smith(sales manager) informed me that on top of the $5650 for the close ratio rebuild along with the 4:1 torsion ctr diff upgrade, he recommended that i replace my input and output shafts, my 1-2($560) , 3-4($540) , and 5-6($540) shift collars. each shaft were $980 each, had a modified 6th($380) gear installed. but as long as it will handle the 3.0 stroker with tial 770r turbo's i am running im ok with it(spare no expense its an audi) so while they were cryo treating the close ratio part for the origional build i had all my other parts cry treated as well. another $1800 just for the treatment for the additional parts. oh and they can only cry treat on weekend due to the curing process. now while i aimlessly waited for 6 1/2 weeks to hear that the parts were obtained and when they would go in for treating. we had the entire bell housing hot tank cleaned and polished. the rest of the housing parts cleaned and powder coated black, another $250. not after shipping back which would have cost me twice as much as before they covered all but $250 for insured return shipping.

So after about 4 1/2 months of them tracking down rare parts in the U.S. and Germany i finally got my baby back. but while i was waiting i also went with the AWE Tuning stage 4 clutch and lightweight flywheel($1300), 034 motorsports track density tranny mount bushings($150),avalon motorsports front and rear track density subframe bushings($450),APR snub mount($40), awe tuning drive train stabilizer bar w/ poly bushing($315).

so with a grand total of $12,485, and believe me the total was more than what i paid for my car. but when u drop over $35 grand into a car and spare no expense. the results are always well worth it.not as for gas mileage i get around 12 mpg on the engine/tranny/ on my everyday chip tune. now when i flip the switch for my track/race gas tune i average about 7-9 mpg...lol. but thats putting 657whp to all 4 19x8.5's. the tranny pulls hard in first and second, twice as aggressive over stock, 3rd feels like u hit N.O.S., puuls hard and by time you redline 3rd i usually hit around 80mph. 4th is my fun gear for a rolling *** raping but i can hit 120-130 plus in 4th. 5th is shortser than stock but i usually shift into 6th around 140-150mph. now 6th gear i can oly go to 185mph cuz my Buttole Puckers so bad i wont push it any faster.not i have website to show you guys the car and if you wish to know more about my built beast PM me. thanx you guys and hope you like the writeup.
