Default I just want to fix the movement in gear... when I got my new trans put in the shifter was tight

there was little to no side to side movement in gear. One hard shift into 4th and it was back to slop. Tech said it was some bushing in the linkage but was never able to get that feel back. Love my Tonoga BTW.

Default Zip-tie your shifter ball.

Once you get past the potential pornography of that statement, it makes sense

Default will try..but the whole thing about the wear of the ball causing the slop isn't

making sense if one second it was tight and the next slop..unless I broke my ball..

Sorry you had problems. I was fortunate JHM was near me. The owner was able to install it for me for a great price. The shifter is much better than my old UUC. All the slop is gone and it feels very solid. I do agree it's a little louder and tad heavier. I guess you just have to get use to it.

Otherwise, it's the best I've ever had. I had stock, UUC and Neuspeed. This is definitely the best one ..

Good luck!

Default Mmmm.... yea.

If it's that bad, it may be something else, but for a 25cent ziptie, I'd give it a shot. The Tanoga itself is quite sturdy... any other potential issues are scary.

Default Well, then... that's good. I revert to my ziptie comment ;)

The linkages to the tranny are very very sturdy and should rarely need any attention.

Default I did mine on Monday. I had no problem with the alignment. Very solid feel! I have to agrree it's

noisy on shift obviously the all metal design. While the plastic OEM deadens the shifting noise. I came from phase 1 of the Toyguy only.
