Default New Here...

Hey guys I just bought my first Audi two days ago and I was looking around a lot of the tuning websites and such. I was looking to get around 400whp out of my 2001 S4. Just wondering if you all had some suggestions as to how to attain that amount safely. I wasn't sure what stage upgrades that would take and good brands to go with. Any help is appreciated.

Default 400whp on pump gas? that's a tall order

400whp on race gas can be had with any stage 3 kit.

You may be able to get 400whp on pump with a VERY healthy stage 3 car, if you're in a place lucky enough to have 93-94 octane available.

RS6 turbos + rs4 cams + upgraded rods + lower compression head gasket + tuning and you should easily/safely do 400whp on 91. That'll be around $10k without supporting mods (clutch, exhaust, intercoolers, etc.)

Default most healthy stg3 EPL cars make ~400whp

some K04 and more K04/hybrid

especially healthy east coast (93oct) cars....but if you're west coast 91 oct you should probably look into hybrids or larger for that power on pump.

Default ^ what he said. 93-94oct, basic stage3. on 91oct... sigh. not so easy.

i'd say water/meth injection for 91oct+stage3 is easier than all the other stuff tim mentioned, but its arguable.

Get ready to spend almost as much as you bought the car for.

I'm getting close to half of what I paid the car for.
