Along those lines... is there a good tech article, or list some where of all of the fluids people prefer etc (and where to get them)?
With recent CV boot explosion, I'm starting to get hyper paranoid...
Tranny fluid/oil?
Brake fluid?
diff fluid/oil/grease?
blinker fluid?
Thanks in advance and please pardon my knowledgelessness...

Fuel filter: maybe every 20k. Not more frequent.
Tech article is in the tech section.
Get your oil at whichever auto parts store you like.
For an oil, use the search feature to see what Audi Approved Oil you want to use.
I use Mobile 1 0w-40. Many use 5w-40 in other brands. Make sure it is VAG compliant. Make sure you use full synthetic.
Also, maybe once or twice a year when doing the oil change, throw 1/2 a can of Seafoam into the crank case and let the car idle for a couple of minutes before you drain the oil. Seafoam is a cleaning agent.
Also, order the 5 pack of oil filters from Vast Performance. They are high quality and a great price. Fast shippers, too.
Tranny fluid: motul or Redline (must be GL4 compliant, or GL4/GL5. Do NOT use GL5). I used Redline M-90.
Diff fluid: 75w-90 GL5. I used Mobile 1.
Brake Fluid: many choices. If you track the car, you might want to use a racing fluid.
Blinker fluid: this would be a good time to upgrade to the RS4 blinker fluid. Most here did that long ago.
Hope this helps. Also, all of this is readily available by clicking this link.

Almost as good as the magic 8 ball.

Fuel filter i'd say 60-80k, diff fluid is fine as long as it isn't leaking...
Check the rear seals especially, they tend to leak. Brake fluid is all over the board, some say 1-2 yrs, some say never. I've only replaced it if I've had squishy brakes. I just changed my tranny oil because I was having some hard shifting, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

Ooops.got that confused with cabin filter. I think the fuel filter write up recommends
20k, though. I did mine at 90k, and needless to say, it was, um, dirty.
And, since I drive like 12k per year, I had just figured I'd do fuel filter with brake fluid (about every 2 years).
Besides, I love the smell of gasoline :-P
