P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire....HELP!!!!
So I have been having issue with my car misfiring. The code I get is consistent "P0305". I switched over the spark plug and full coil pack from cylinder 5 to 6 but still have the same code. On top of that I now have my coolant temp sensor blinking at me. Any thoughts as to what is going on?

found this....

I'm guessing this could be why my coolant sensor is saying my engine is too hot? Anybody know what this is called?

did the plugs in 5&6 look the same?
misfires all the time, or just at idle or under boost?
try swapping the igniters on top of the airbox.
it could be also a clogged injector, or improperly seated injector/o-ring if you've pulled them recently.
or something worse, e.g. time for a leakdown & compression test.
i wouldn't worry too much about the exhaust smell until the misfires are resolved.

Re: did the plugs in 5&6 look the same?
Misfires all the time, and both plugs looked the same. I haven't done anything to the injectors or anything but maybe it's clogged, but the gas smell is strong making me think it's getting fuel but just not firing.

Now I think I'm getting somewhere....
I just swapped the ignition control cables and the misfire moved to cylinder 2. Is the ignition module my problem? I don't want to fork out the money like I did with the coil pack and have it not fix the problem again.
