Scroll Products turbo rebuild service?
Anyone have experience with these guys?

They offer rebuild of two stock turbos with new CHRAs for about $1350/pr.
Their only North American distributor seems to be a snowmobile shop.

It looks pretty good, Can they change out the internals to make it a k04 hybrid? I was going to go with "gpopshop.com" when the time comes but according to their website, "We no longer rebuild or upgrade 2.7TAudi K03/K04 turbos" but they still do "KKK K03, K04, K06′s $350" Doesnt make much sense to me. There is a kit if you feel like doing it yourself before anything really goes bad.

I have used turbos rebuilt by Scroll. I also just received a set of k04 turbos 2/17/11 that have larger compressor wheels that were also done by Scroll. When scroll does a rebuild of k03 or k04, there are improvements that are made.
Send an email to them and they will update you on what they do. They also have no issues with upgrading your 03/04 turbos. Email them and decide for yourself once you get the info back. I wasn't exactly looking forward to dealing with a company in Poland, but it was all good.

Turbocharger Rebuilder Tri-state (North Jersey)
Hello,
Turbo season just started, lots of RS4 / RS6 restorations and upgrades here in the workshop. If you drive an Audi with twin screws my suggestion would be to have them serviced now before they fail.
We service many 2.7t turbos and they all have one thing in common one side fails pre-mature. Keep in mind compressor wheels for the K04-025 K04-026 are not available, if your turbo fails and the compressor wheel rubs your only option is to upgrade the compressor wheel and machine the compressor housing to fit.
We have plenty of experience working with VAG turbochargers, our door is always open. We offer performance upgrades for any VAG turbocharger 1.8T, 2.0T, 2.7T, 3.0T and all of the diesel GT15-GT22 VNT turbos.
