Stage 3- (minus) custom tunes now available from EPL
After months of inquires EPL is excited to announce the introduction of our stage 3- (minus) tuning program for K04 equipped cars.
EPL's stage 3- custom tunes will include:
- General inspection and pressure test of vehicle
- Installation of EPL supplied 5 bar FPR (home brew crushed 4 bar regulators or adj. regulators are not suitable)
- Custom Dyno tuning session with before and after dyno plots.
We currently have beta cars in final stages of testing and are now accepting appointment for production tunes.
Stage 3- tunes are not available for any hybrid turbo configuration and currently we are not offering mail order stage 3- flashes.
Price: $949

Hey Tony, just curious why home brew FPR's are not suitable...
I always was suspect of their consistency but curious as to whether or not you found supporting data while tuning cars (I assume you tried them).

How much is your stage 3 fueling? Info?
Also, would one be able to upgrade from your 3- to 3 in the future? (for a lower cost than going full stage 3 right away) Also, how much chp/torque are you seeing on Stage 3- ? Thanks!

if I do the stage 3- tune and come back for fueling and tune, can I get an upgrade credit?
That'd be sweet...and make me more likely to come down for the 3- tune instead of waiting FOREVER for my fueling.

With my setup, Tony managed about 326whp/361wtrq.
This is with a 19.5 psi peak with a steady taper to 15 psi at red-line. He was hoping to be able to hold more boost at red-line, and believes that it's limited due to my wastegate actuator setting.
I'm extremely content with the tune. The car is considerably faster through the midrange when compared to my previous setup, GIAC X with stock FPR. It also feels far smoother and more consistent throughout.
