Not much in the way of criteria. More like no CEL criteria. Logs would be nice as Nye said.

Default I'm not going by butt dyno. I'm going by data comparison (airflow/acceleration)...

On average, Rs4 cammed stage 3 cars flow more air and run faster FATS times...all else being equal. I say this after looking at quite possibly hundreds of logs from various stage 3 cars. I understand you apparently picked up no power with yours, but what I've seen says otherwise. I actually brought up your experience with Piggie the other day and he was flabbergasted, saying how he''s consistently seen gains from RS4 cams and thinks they are probably better bang for the buck than upgrading OEM K04s to hybrids. He is using a rather large sample size, probably more than most of us could dream about.

Default Next time I have the valve covers off I have to take a look at the part numbers

on the cams to make sure they are indeed RS4's and not reboxed S4's. That's how similar the MAF readings were.

That said, I wasn't trying to spark a debate. Just poke fun :-p

Make has done fairly extensive testing netting 7-10% increase in airflow as well as measuring lift.

Default 7-10% increase in g/s ? You sure it's that much?

I could possibly see an argument for 5% (although I didn't anything at all). But what you're saying is that I should have gone from 260 g/s to 286 g/s... seems like alot from just cams.

Default wow, that's a pretty significant increase in airflow

i can swallow 7-10g/s, but 7-10%...that figure i would love to see. impressive.

Default Yes, hence Piggie saying he finds cams to be better bang for the buck than upgrading to hybrids...

I believe a couple cars, which saw closer to or upwards of 10% were cars that also had main cats removed so the lower part of the range is a safer bet for cams only.

FWIW, Mike's dad's car had to move up to a 90mm MAF and 60# injectors because his setup of PJ K04s, RS4 cams, and no main cats was maxxing out 42# Green Giants easily (I'm just barely at 90% FIDC at ~1.5 bar of boost at redline). Also, his car keeps pulling up top whereas my peak airflow is in the 6200-6500 RPM range.

Just saying, don't take it as gospel or anything but I wouldn't generalize and make your experience gospel either.

Other than Jekyll/Hyde, find me people who are unhappy and/or regret doing RS4 cams. Seriously......

Default I'm definitely open to seeing other data. So while my results aren't gospel

they are definitely a true back to back comparison, with no other changes. And they are results which I have seen and felt first hand. I have yet to see a similar test.
