Default Update on 55 Watt HID kits: Well guys, after talking to Todd for a while, we have worked

out the deal on the 55 watt upgrade kits. Todd from Retro-Solutions has set up a special checkout page for the AudiWorld members, with a discount applied to us from the normal price. There are no minimum purchase requirements or dates. The kits will be shipped when you purchase them, no need to wait for a group buy to end. The final pricing of the 55 watt D2S kits is $156.40 with shipping included. The kits are available with 4300K, 5000K, 6000K or 8000K bulbs. The kits and bulbs carry a full lifetime warranty, so if the bulbs fail or the bulbs discolor in a non-uniform way, such that they dont match each other in K rating, they will be replaced free of charge. Same goes with ballast, if they fail, they are covered for life. Todd told me that basically as long as you don't smash out the headlights in an accident, the components and bulbs are covered for life. He has several sets of each K rating in stock, and said the next shipment should be in with a week or so. There are also other kits on the website including 35 watt kits. The reason the D2S kit is $10 more than the others is because it requires a special wiring adapter. Go ahead and check it out, as I know many of you guys seemed interested when I first mentioned the kits. Feel free to post with any questions!

Audiworld members discount 55 watt HID checkout page

Default The best of course was 4300K, but I went with 5000K. The difference from 4300K to 5000K

is about 100 lumens, and from 4300K to 6000K is about 400 lumens.

I don't know much about this stuff, but is it just plug and play...aside from mounting the ballast?

Yup, pretty much. Just have to mount the ballast and connect the power to the ballast.

Default Need help

The web check out reads $168.40 for 55 Watt kit and $156.40 for the 35Watt kit (Audi World), why must we pay a premium? Their special was $149 and $11.50 shiping? Plus $10.00 for D2S Which could come to $170.50. Is our GB saving $2.10??

Default Can you post some additional information on ballast mounting?

So they wont fit in stock ballast mounting location... you have to rig them somewhere else?

Is the 4300K noticeably yellow? What is the color temp of the stock S4 HID?

4300K. It's not yellow, just not as in your face blue as 6k.
