am i the only one that thinks $1295 is still insane???? Even a 1,000 is rediculous! I have had an full TUBRO BACK SSAutochrome exhaust for 2yrs and about 40K and 2 new england winters with absolutely no problems no rust. Oh yea and it cost me $450 shipped to my door. I could buy 4 complete SSAUTO turbo backs from them and still be under the price of one full turbo back from awe. So thats 8+ yrs 160+K and 8+ new england winters. Seems like an obvious choice to me. am i alone here?

All I can say to this is when you purchase from AWE your getting a well tested product. Plus I'm pretty sure the Cats they use cost more than the kit from SSAutochrome.

How is the sound from that kit? Faster spool? Also it looks like it has no precats, does it have moved secondary O2 locations? I'm currious as that is quiet cheap.

When we originally designed these downpipes, back in 2000, the Aeroquip joints were the best solution on the market. Now that high quality flex joints that can perform are readily available, we've made the switch.<o></o>

<o></o>
Do you have a 6 speed or a tiptronic? Our downpipes only work with 6 speed manual cars.<o>

</o> While piggies are cheaper, our downpipes have quite a few distinct advantages:<o>

</o> 1) Flexibility.<o></o>
With our downpipes you have the option of running your car completely catless or with our high flow cat sections. You can drive it on the street with our cats in place and then swap in the test pipes the night before you hit the track. <o></o>

2) Larger diameter tubing<o></o>
Piggies pipes use stock diameter tubing. Our Downpipes start at 3 inches and gradually taper down to 2.5 inches. This provides improved exhaust gas scavenging and allows your car to breathe easier.

3) CEL Free
Our Downpipes will keep your car free of pesky check engine lights. You have a German sports car, why bother with annoying CEL lights on your dash? <o></o>

In the end it all comes down to what you want. Do you want the cheapest possible solution with moderate improvement or a meticulously engineered solution for maximum performance?<o></o>

SSAutochrome is known to have many issues with their systems from horrible fitment, to bad welds and cracking. <o></o>

What happens if your $350 turboback cracks two months down the road because of an improper weld? You either have to a) pay someone 8 hours of labor to remove the system from your car, redo the weld and reinstall the downpipes or b) do it yourself and waste an entire weekend fixing something that shouldn't have even happened in the first place.<o></o>

Obviously there are some clients, such as yourself, who don't have issues with their products but there are far too many clients with issues out there to think it’s an isolated incident. <o></o>

With our systems you know that it will fit perfectly the first time, you won’t need to worry about misaligned flanges or hangers and pay your shop to repair them.
<o></o>
We offer a one year warranty on our cats and a LIFETIME warranty on the balance of the components.
<o></o>
Our parts are built to stand the test of time. They might be more expensive then our competition, but the quality and engineering that goes into every A.W.E. Tuning product ensures it’s the best on the market.

With A.W.E. you really get what you pay for.

Yes, you are among the very few. I sold my 4 yr old APR downpipes off my last S4 for $1200 last year. From what I've seen on my new S4 the AWE downpipes are better quality than the APR units.

As long as you move the second O2s behind the main cat, you shouldn't get a CEL.

For that price id go with AR Design 3 inch downpipes. Quality is x10 on those to be honest. Not that those are crap but for the money you can get more. I feel I did.
