Default Weird lumpy idle issue tonite...

Just replaced the problem prone Bosch MAF about 3 months ago (with the same one). 77k on the clock. Idle started dipping tonite following any type of stationary "revving". Give it gas...tach/idle goes up, idle then comes down below 800..drops to 500ish and then levels out. Does it consistantly as of tonites driving.
No CEL yet.

EGT's?
o2's?
Both have never been replaced.

Any guess's?

Update*...and now this morning it is gone? Bad gas? Impending failure of a sensor?

Default With the car warm and idling, wiggle the accordan hose/MAF and the hoses attached at the

back of the mani. May be a small air leak post-MAF. My car does this occasionally(I need to get better clamps on my accordian connections - have to re-tighten my POS screw/band clamps).

Does it only do it once at operating temps?

There are a ton of things that can cause intermittent idle issues - air leaks, plugs, injectors, ignition amplifiers, carbon build-up, gas, etc... check the easy stuff first.

I've had suttle misfires for a year now, which go away after spirited driving.

Default Sounds like MAF

Listen to HalS4 and wiggle the accordian hose at idle - see what happens, if you notice a stumbling, the MAF went a tumbling...
