what do you guys think if short shifters???

i currently have a b&m, and about a month or so after install the two plastic
sliders started creaking, VERY annoying at night when the music isn't up too loud... it doesn't affect the actual shifts, but i've thought about swapping out the plastic sliders the b&m came with for the stock rubber sliders again...
do you have any issues like this with your shifter? i may be ready to change...
