Default Where to get a new driveshaft?

Recently my driveshaft on my 2000 S4 began making a clicking noise and is beginning to wear out. I want to get this replaced before too long and was wondering where to look for the best driveshafts and how much should I expect to pay if I do it myself?

Are you looking for the axles or the actual drive shaft itself that connects the front and rear diffs?

I ask this because because in your context you mention drive shaft and then drive shafts - looking for clarification.

I am looking for the actual drive shaft itself that connects the front and rear differential. It started making a clicking noise and at low speeds slightly shakes my car

I would like to have that but it is a bit expensive. Does anyone know of a cheaper way to do this or a cheaper place to buy?

That blauparts kit looks like a good option, but their site says it is not in stock... (I am having driveshaft issues too)
I saw a little while ago that 034 motorsports sells an aluminum driveshaft rated to 1000 hp for $850.... Also a good option.

I have a good used 6 speed stock driveshaft for 150 shipped. I also have a used auto one for 125 shipped, good used stock shaft. I can also get the driveshaft shop driveshaft for a much better price then anywhere out there but it takes a week to week and half to get one made and out to you. Let me know if interested.

From what I know 034 motorsports sells the center bearing that fails and can cause noises and vibration.Might want to try that first I think its the cheapest option.
