Would anyone with a sedan widebody be willing to do moldings for me ?
I would pay, plus the materials, and shipping.
Its a thought of mine that is up in the air.
Simply take plastic covering, tape it to the side of the car, spray liquid foam over it, let it dry, and pull off. shouldnt cause any damage to the car.
thinking of doing my own wide body. Refuse to pay the widebody prices..
I would just need the quarter panels, as i believe i can get the fronts else where already made.
My thoughts..
Once getting the mold, i would make the actual flares with a body molding foam, used for making custom kits Over lay that with fiberglass and attach it to the car.
Id buy the widebody side skirts from lltek (flaim suit). I do however like these more then the RS4 because they are a little bit more boxy.
I would make a mold, so that my stock front bumper would work with the wider fenders.
Completed with a euro S4 rear bumper, A euro trunk, with a CSL spoiler molded into it.
flame Away <respectfully>

Some money, and a 6 pack.
It shouldnt be to much work. Ill send the materials, Should be able to do it in about an hr.
they would have to be rapped very good to insure they would arrive in 1 piece.
It all because of your silly pic, that i got to thinking.

Thats a very large and complex project, good luck. PS. I like your sig choice
I would think the alignment of custom fab parts would be much harder than the actually outside details of the mold. Making sure you have all the mounting holes in the exact right place, just hurts my head to think about it.

I wouldnt be doing that. >>>
I would simply attach threaded rods to the foam, and drill holes in the existing quarter, and bolt the mold to it. Then use fiberglass sheets to mold it to the fender. I just need the flare molding of the rear, to insure that its the right size. It also makes things easier in, insuring that the moldings are the same size on both sides of the car.
The carving blocks are almost the same material as the little green blocks you put plants into, to make an arrangment. You just use a razor blade kind of tool to carve it. Rather easy. Just takes long, and creates a big mess. I love doing all of the body work and stuff, to make thing unique, so i dont mind.
