but not with 100k miles...
I bought a 2001.5 Avant tip, 101k miles, "sport" package, black with black/blue inserts, for $14k about 2 years ago. Came with most of it's service history. And I thought I overpaid a bit.

Maybe true. I have a tip, though stock at this point
Like the car posted, I have quite a few miles and don't want to spend more than the car is worth to replace the turbos.
I was chipped for a while, and honestly it wasn't that big of a deal. Frankly the tip stole a lot of thunder from the engine, IMO.
I believe you that a stage 3 tip with tip mods is a lot of fun.
But let me ask you something...assuming you don't have a disability that requires the tip...
Do you really think it's worth it to spend as much/more modding the tip instead of a 6-speed?
There is little doubt in my mind that mod for mod a 6-speed will blow the doors off of a tip. Don't you think?
