I purchased car in June. Drivers seat very uncomfortable. I have tried every adjustment, but nothing works. I can feel the lumbar mechanism pushing into my back even when its retracted all the way in. I think I need to remove the lumbar in the seatback. Dealer wont touch this issue. Has anyone had same issue, or know how to remove the seatback panel?? Love too much about this car, and dont want to sell it. help!!!!

I agree that the standard seats in the C-series leave quite a lot to be desired. All I can suggest is to try and track down either the diamond-quilted Sport Seats or the optional Comfort Seats from an S6/7. Won't be cheap, they each are incredible and all-day comfortable.

Thanks-do you know if the comfort seats in the Prestige are different other than they cool????

I haven't tried them myself, but word is that they suffer from the same general lack of comfort as the base (non-cooled) version.

The comfort seats on the S6 have massage function and are very comfortable. That was the single most important feature to me.

Just to be clear that everyone's on the same page. There are four seats available in North America for the C-series chassis:

• A6/7 standard seat
• A6/7 Prestige seat (with cooling function)
• S6/7 Sport Seat (diamond quilted)
• S6/7 Comfort Seat (with cooling and massage - basically the same seat as in the A/S8)

The first two are widely considered mediocre, with minimal thigh support. The last two are excellent. I have the Comfort Seating option in my S6 and love them.

The crappy seats are the reason I did not buy an A6 when I was shopping for my last car. Went with a BMW 535 instead.

Currently planning for the next vehicle and S6 is the front runner.

The comfort seat is fantastic for long trips. Best seat in any car I've ever sat in.
