30.9 MPG 2016 S6
Just drove from Minneapolis to Des Moines. Door to door was 30.9 MPG.
65-75 degrees
Cruise Control Used
2 rest stops
Slight tailwind - maybe.
Ran Suspension in Dynamic (i have the H&R Lowering).
Everything else in Auto.
Pretty sweet.

... Ok, but unless you corrected it, your car is likely set from the factory 8-10% optimistic. Did you calculate it by hand. 27 is still an accomplishment though.

I drove from Chicago to St Louis on Tuesday...slight headwind. Cruise set to 78 MPH...actual MPH was 77 (via GPS monitoring). Individual...everything set to Auto except exhaust set to dynamic.
26.3 MPG via hand calculation.

Wow. No road trips yet for me. I am getting (manually calculated) around 12-14 mpg, mostly short trips in stop and go, maybe 10% short highway trips. Still under 1000 miles. Yes, I have a heavy foot, but was expecting better mileage than my last car, MB CLS 550C4. (Also 4wd, Twin turbo engine that is almost 50% greater by displacement than 4.0 in S6). It's about the same on mileage at this point. I got around 25 mpg on road trips in MB. Will see if/how much the S6 improves on that soon.

How did you break your engine/car in? Follow factory reccomendations or go the other way?
