After seeing this on youtube, i think i will go for a Racechip instead of flashing my ECU as it looks like all sort of problems can arise.

I wouldnt be afraid of getting an APR or GIAC flash type tune because of this one video. Ive never seen or heard of this before and one video isnt a representation of what will happen to every single flashed car.

If you are that scared away from something because of one video you have seen on the internet, then Im surprised you bought an Audi(or any car for that matter).

Haha nah im not scared just wanted to test peoples reaction from this forum, i know what its like owning a performance car so did not want to offend anyone

Maybe I was quick to jump at a response so I apologize. I just don't think one video should create a whirlwind of worry. Seems like it was just flashed incorrectly. Doing it over would rectify it.

I would be curious to hear some feedback from members of this forum regarding any problems they've had with a tune in general and the APR in particular.

I've been considering getting one and so far have only heard positive things. In this case, it seems odd that a tune (applied without removing the computer from the car) would belatedly cause the problems seen in the video: Software either works or it doesn't.

Ever root a phone and install a new ROM? Sometimes it doesnt always apply correctly. Just need to go back in and install again. Once in a while a "1" or "0" gets lost.
