Do S7 wheels fit S6's?

Wheels
Well I just changed the wheels on a 2016 S6 to a 9" wide "PQJ" wheels from a S7/A8. The 2016 S6 wheels have an offset of 43mm not 35mm. The S7/A8 wheels have a offset of 37mm.
I replaced the 255 Pirellis with 255 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The end result, measured on the car, is the Michelins on the 9" rims stick out 1/4 inch (not 1/2 inch as expected) from the stock Pirellis. Pictures are the new 9" rims with the Michelins.

Thank you.

Actually the 255 size has a measured rim width of 9 inches on them at Tire Rack with a range of 8.5-10 inches. I did not want to go with the 265s because that would have increased the outside width an additional 5mm. I feel that a 1/4 inch is enough without having to worry about stone damage to the paint. But if you prefer 265s go with it.
