It isn't about the straight line power. It is about the subjective power delivery and feel of a normally aspirated high-revving motor. Such a motor is far more predictable, has razor sharp throttle response, and gives a much more wired-to-your-nervous-system feel than a turbo motor.

The question remains why hasn't Audi put the TTV8 into the R8 yet? The rumor is its slated for the next gen R8. They could have ditched the NA V8 2-3 years ago pretty easily.
From what I was told, they tried but were having cooling issues with it. I would love to see the TTV8 in the R8 though as well. Hell, Id love to see it in the RS5.
