Manual transmission I would understand on a sports car for the sense of being a purist, but on a 4500 lbs sedan?
I don't see the advantage since the automatic is much faster than the average driver could achieve in a manual
plus the automatic would make much more sense in the DD traffic commute........

We were thinking of trading our 2012A6 for a 2017A6....but somehow I have my wife interested/considering an S6... We are going to look into it. Has anyone ordered, have any pricing. What kind of money off the list should I be looking for. It would be a trade/cash purchase. No lease, no payments. Thanks for any help.

It will be. But it is at least a two year wait - 2018 is production year, which in the US nomenclature likely equates to MY2019. So it's in that awkward decision making window.

Ok here it is....we looked at a Lexus(shhhhh) the GS F was tempting. The appraiser was so far off on our trade we left. Drove by an Audi dealer and somehow ended up looking at a Macan S in the adjacent showroom. We're waiting for the paperwork and are going to push the button. Thanks everyone for your help. An S6 would have been nice. Maybe next round.
