The street view intersection "map" in the C7 has always required that you be navigating. Otherwise, there would be no point since you have the main map if just cruising along with no destination set.

The 2016 MMI has several differences from the earlier C7s. While the lane arrows may not be as pretty, they are still functional. The HUD just adds another view.

No car is perfect - there will always be some car that has something better. than others You have to take the car as a whole and the C7 does a very decent job in so many other ways.

Finally, I'm not very smart. Just well seasoned.

Absolutely. I'm two weeks into the new car and am very, very happy with it. Driving dynamics are my number 1 priority and the car beats my expectations on that front. Other than a few niggles (cupholder placement - aaaargh!!), my only disappointments are Audi's HUD and the lack of MMI evolution since my last car. I will happily live with those considering my alternative is a xxxxxx handling xDrive car with a great iDrive system. Easy decision.
