Default Introducing the AWE Tuning Electronic Valve Simulators

S6 and S7 owners have asked for a delete for the soft codes that come with valve disconnection. So… here we go.

The AWE Tuning Electronic Valve Simulators for the Audi S6 and S7 with AWE Tuning Touring Edition Exhausts are simple devices that fit right into the factory harness in place of the exhaust valves, eliminating the generation of a 'soft code'.

Why do you need them?

Sound perfection comes standard thanks to AWE Tuning 180 Technology™. Which means there’s no need for valves. But when these valves are eliminated, the ECU stores what is known as a ‘soft code’ in the system. While this code is not harmful, who wants it? Enter the AWE Tuning Electronic Valve Simulators.

These simple devices plug right into the factory harness in place of the exhaust valves, and prevent any code from ever being stored in the ECU due to the removal of the exhaust valves. Plug them in. Start it up. Drive away. That simple. Comes as a set of two.

Available here.

Think AWE should not charge for this separately as if you install their exhaust, throwing a code continually should have been taken care of in the sale of new exhaust systems

The reason it is an extra, is that the part is not required for the car. The code is a 'soft code', so it does not result in a dash light, or affect inspections of the vehicle. The code is only visible to dealership level scanners.
