Default S6/ S7 folks when you changed your front pads...assuming you went aftermarket,

Did you buy the Audi dampening kit for the backside of the pads? Did you reuse your pad wear sensor or buy new?

I'm going with EBC pads and neither the front or rears have the sensor included.

TIA-

Im going with EBC Redstuff pads in order to try and address the issues of: a) Squeal which is driving me nuts. b) Brake dust which is never ending.

I know some people have posted that they have reused the dampeners from their original pads (carefully peal off and re-stick?) however I have bought the kit from Audi, as I didn't want to strip the brakes, then be stuck due to the dampening pads not being reusable. The kit was £64 (about US$80) from my local dealer - however I believe its significantly more to purchase in the US.

Note that the dampeners are on each of the front pads only.

Unless the wear sensor is actually triggering a brake pad warning on the DIS, they should be OK to reuse if carefully removed and attached to the new pads.
