Default 2016s... How to Update Maps?

Has anyone with a 2016 updated their map database? Care to share how? I logged into my.audi site, but can't find where you can download the update to an SD card. I could've swore I saw it in there about two months ago.

TIA!

The only way to update the actual maps is via a trip to the dealership.

Not true at all.

When I did the update a few months ago from "2015" to "2015/2016" you just logged into my.audi.com, downloaded a small Java applet, and then that applet downloaded the actual files.

Facelift MY2016 C7s have the new MMI w/4G LTE. One of the many improvements and new design is the ability for the owner to download map updates and install them. I believe Audi provides for 4 free map updates.

For the 2016, you can download the entire map update via Audi website. The side is huge, a bit over 13GB. Download to SD or UBS and install to the car.

Thanks, didn't know of that particular and significant improvement in the newest model.

Jason, could I trouble you to look again when you have a moment? I am on a Mac and can't find the download anywhere. It correctly shows my '16 A6. I'm trying to determine whether I'm just not looking in the right place, or if Audi removed the link.

Default Mac might not work...

I have a new 2016 A6 3.0T Premium Plus... (just traded my 2010 B8 S4) and I'm loving it. Upgraded maps using the download to SD option... but I could not get it to work on my Macbook with Safari or Firefox. Not sure why.

In the end I just gave up and used one of my Windows systems with IE...

You might want to try that.

anyone downloaded the maps for a 2015 A6? I do not see an option to select a download maps on my.audi.com under the "service" tab.

I have seen reports on other forums that Audi has temporarily removed the update (for EU at least) from my.audi but it should back in a few days. Presume there must have been a bug or something
