Converting Movies for VIM
I have unlocked my VIM, but I can't seem to convert my movies correctly in order to view them. Can someone please help me with this? I have a cross country trip coming up very soon and would like to be able to play movies for my passengers.

There's a program called Aura Video Converter, it's free if you get it from downloads.cnet.com
This program will do the conversion for you simple in batch form so you can queue up multiple videos in converting.
The resolution of the video you want to have it set to is 720x576.
The Bitrate you want to set the video is 2000KB
The framerate you want to set the video is 25fps
For audio use .mp3 as the codec
Set the bitrate for that to 320kps
and the Sample Rate to 48,000 hz

Its a simple display, it will show any FPS, but yes, I've tested 24 and 30 fps on my US S3 - and both work - that is until the car is moving then like all of us here, the video stops displaying.

I did a while back too, put a lot of music videos on my MMI, in large part thanks to Youtube and VEVO.
Now I hardly use it.
