I set my q7 to not exceed 130km/h while on the highway today. I drove for 200km with my foot flooring the pedal. My question is ...... what happened when the car reached 130km/h .... did automatically start cutting off the fuel....or did i continue to burn the same fiel as if i was doing 180km/h?

It's cutting the fuel. It's quite a weird sensation when it stops you exceeding the limit especially at slow speeds!

No. The top speed limiter depends on the model and equipment. If the car ships with all season tires than the limit is usually at 130mph, A and Q models are around there, too. S models are limited to 155 mph, unless all-season tires, then it's 130 mph. The RS5 is limited to 174 mph. The RS7 is at 190 I believe and the top level R8 goes to 200 if I remember correctly.
