Default Google Earth activation success

Have successfully added Google Earth to my map display using data sim in MMI but without Audi Connect subscription.

Is this on a US vehicle? How did you manage that?

In NZ we don't have proper Audi Connect (no subscription possible) but Google Earth, Streetview, and Google local search all work if you tether or insert a SIM (as I have done).

I haven't needed to do any coding for Google Earth, Streetview or Google local search.

Do you have traffic info working? I'd be interested in what you coded with obd eleven too.

When you say traffic info do you mean the traffic info showing in the 3rd pic?

Yeah, the traffic info in your pic.

Have you got any other Audi Connect services running via OBD?

I do have an OBD Eleven device but performed any coding apart from the tailgate remote key delay.

I'm very keen to know what items you've coded successfully, and how.

I actually didnt code anything specifically for that traffic info but may have been activated when I did the coding for Google Earth. I got that coding from this thread -

Thanks, on my Q7 (August 2016 production date) I get a 'something went wrong' error when saving anything in module 5F. OBDEleven have not been able to resolve this issue yet which is very frustrating.

Managed to turn Google Earth on, but I cannot replicate the traffic information that you have. Using it on my Canadian Technik model.
You sure you didnt change anything else there? That is the single biggest complain I have about this car.
