Default APR Air intake? Any thoughts on it, anyone have it installed?

Hey everyone, I have a 2016 Audi TT with an APR stage 1 ecu tune. I am curious if anyone has installed an after market air intake? More specifically the carbon fiber air intake system. I was looking to have a louder sound from the engine/turbo and on APR's website the sound on the YouTube video they have sounds great but it's on a VW. I know they are same platform and engine, just curious on everyone's thoughts.

I've been very satisfied with my 034 carbon fiber intake. https://store.034motorsport.com/x34-...-0t-gen-3.html

Yes, that was appealing to me too. Very well designed and implemented.

034 doesn't seem to advertise/comment here but good discussion on Audizine and Fourtitude.

034 did a great job with these components as well. I don't typically go for such engine 'bling' but the OEM blank black looked so plain once the intake was installed. I actually asked 034 to consider producing same and voila!

Soon to be offered front intake cover as well. Hmmmm.....

I have the 034 intake. honestly I wasn't blown away by the sound, but it was very pretty!

huey52, great looking engine bay. I might do the same with the covers when tax season rolls around (;

I haven't the apr downpipe with intake and stage 2. All done at once and it's the perfect combo of sound and performance.

Carbon fiber is attractive to some (guilty) but only a quantum lighter than the stock composite plastic. At the end of the day it's simply increased laminar airflow regardless the appearance of a particular aftermarket cold air intake. Having said that, as an aviator I do hold to "if it looks right it flies right."

Are you saying the Revo cold air intake airflow is no more than stock?

I tried the revo one, good price but half job since the airbag is the same!
if you're looking at the performance instead, I can tell you how to mod the OEM like the revs one!
