CCM? ECU? FUSE? RELAY?
Hey, all.
Just signed up to this forum to get help troubleshooting issues w/ my fiaces' ride. Imma give the whole back story just in case. Okay. First, it is a 2004 TT Convertible. 1.8 turbo/auto.
The fuel gauge wastnt working, read half a tank all the time so i put in a new sending unit combo in. That didnt help. After that i pulled the factory radio out. Handed it back off to her since it was running. She came back home and said windows wouldnt roll up when she left the store. Come to find out it is the windows, pdl, trunk latch, conv top button, power back draft window and maybe more. It still cranks, runs n drives just none of that stuff works. Where are all the possible causes of the lost powers located and how do i check each one?
Thanks in advance.

Your Comfort control module (CCM) is suspect. Dealer cost is $645 + install-program. If the key fobs are bad add $200 ea. Or you can DIY if you purchase a Ross-Tech unit to code with. This unit is essential to this cars health. There is another unit on the market but I've not tried it. CCM's are available on eBay but buyer beware as many are pulled from wrecked or salvaged cars which may have had the unit water soaked. Most sellers won't accept electrical returns. This is a top ten issue with this particular model.

install replacement module and have it programmed by a dealer if necessary. If systems that didn't work now do, the module is good.
That said, you need to run a diagnostic scan with the VAG scanner or Ross Tech software & interface. Anything else and you're wasting your time.

There are companies out there that test them. Once tested you'll still need to clear codes with the Roos-Tech. No easy way out. Sorry I don't know of any particular companies I spent my money on the RT.
