Default Drive w/o a cluster?

I have a 2001. I'm sending the instrument cluster out for repair, should have it back within a week. Can I drive it without the cluster being there?

Depends - If it has an immobilizer - won't happen. My 2001 (early build - 2000) does not have one. While rebuilding the cluster, I drove it to my mechanic for a timing belt replacement. No issues.

Quick way to tell: Start the car without cluster.....if it dies in 5 seconds, you have immobilizer.
