Default Fuel line bad move and Crank Shaft Sensor

I removed the hex bolt near the fuel filter as per forum but it wasn't the crank shaft sensor. It was a fuel line. It came loose with some release of tension.. Since I couldn't see what was happening I don't know if there is supposed to be a gasket washer under as well as the one I do have that was on top of the hex bolt. After dropping the under engine protector pan I don't have any extra parts that I can find.
We managed to put this hex bolt back in but we are not certain that it is in correctly. We may have cross threaded it. I took pictures and I'll try to attach the best one.
I have a 2001 TT Quatro

The fuel line is in the center with the roundish connection and the hex bolt on top through it. Thank you for your knowledge and support.
My next question will be, Where is the crank shaft sensor on this car?
