Garage/Alignment screw up - Strut Mounts
So I took the TT in for two front tires and alignment. Shop calls me back you need a wheel bearing, & a ball joint $1000. OK so I go there, and say that is really strange, because I have two new wheel bearings done last year.
"Well there's quite a bit of play."
Took it back and I ordered the parts off Ebay anyway.
I jacked it up this week and yes I see new wheel bearings (clean seals) in there. I grab the wheel and there is play but not like a bearing. The LED headlight I was wearing caught the entire strut moving. So I figure the problem is the top strut mount. No issues otherwise. Actually just like our Beetle which is needing new mounts too.
The car has got about 100K miles, roadster /225HP (is that sport susp??). Replace front struts complete etc. or just do the mounts?
