Ok guys, here's the real deal about the DSG and Launch Control... (long)

What good is a longer warranty when...
dealer service sucks. When you have a problem it's one of:
1) Problem not found/can't be replicated.
2) Problem caused by aftermarket fuzzy dice hanging from mirror - non warranty repair - $$$.
3) Parts are randomly replaced hoping to fix it, each time requiring another trip/alternate vehicle arrangements.
or finally,
4)Problem is fixed, but they break something else in the process.
Repeat.
(edit: I forgot the ever popular 3a) "They all do that.")

That's good Steve, all you need now is...
a new steering wheel, wiring harness, auto stick shift with all required wiring, and.. a complete euro-spec DSG 'box - for your R32 conversion!! Oh, and the super-expensive alu paddles from the *real* R32 DSG :-P
Here's a picture of the Euro-spec paddle circuitry showing the two resistors here:

BTW I forgot to ask you, did you erase the '/OFF' text from your right alu paddle for the TT? if not, would you consider a swap? ;-)

Well, I followed anythings which happened on US TT, but did not suspect>>>
such changes of the TCM :-(o)...for a special one...! It seems to be like a scandal.... US market has clearly been spoiled, with a minored 3.2 TT compared to the original one, to limit performances , even if the garanty is longer than ours...
About Manual Over-ride: and the Euro-spec TCM, with the over-ride which does NOT timeout after 15 seconds, if you hold the right paddle for a couple of seconds!!!.... I've to check that ( each time , i use manual mode is for changing gear quickly under the limit of 15 seconds... or /oblige me to move paddle up-down quickly/move the stick left-right.
If I know this now, it may be interesting to drive different.
Thanks for that , Marc.... ;-))

That's right, well all "got the OFF off" ;-) maybe I'll ask Brad, don't think he did his...
BTW Philippe thanks again for being such a great source for the hundreds of paddles you ordered for enthusiasts around the world, I'm sure everyone who got in on it while the price was still "low" in France really appreciates your efforts!!

Yeah it's pretty insane the trouble they went through to remove it from US cars
By the way Philippe here's the VAG scan from my new TCM, it might even have different Controller & Component numbers than yours:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 02: Auto Trans
Controller: 02E 300 046 E
Component: GSG DSG 0629
Coding: 0000020
Shop #: WSC 04940
No fault code found.

You know what, maybe it's a TCM from the R32-spec DSG! now that I think about it, they have this feature with the +2 second hold to turn of manual over-ride.. I was speaking to a French R32 DSG owner and it seems there were a few differences, <a href="http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1668639">see this link from VW Vortex</a> for more info:
