Its almost like it hasnt got a turbo it pulls off low end well but it just dosnt pull higher revs, very confused must be something to do with the turbo?? Someone please help before i get ripped off by the local mechanic.

has the PCV system been replaced. If not ,replace the entire system (under the intake) - search the forum for the procedure and parts list.

the turbo hoses - are they original. if so - replace with silicone. the hoses get soft as they age, and collapse under load. replace them all.

The vacuum lines - are they rubber? look old? replace them all - they crack and don't last forever. need to replace them with silicone hoses.

How old is the MAF? dont know? replace it.

Diverter valve - original audi? replace it (forge 007 is good - ensure you get the new uprated piston). ANY dv - take it off and test it to see if it actuates under vacuum, and holds pressure (put compressed air on either side to see how much pressure it holds before it opens)

get a boost tester (available online - put shop air in the turbo system to check for leaks - works great

Plugs and coil packs? old/original? replace both coil packs and plugs.

Once the above is sorted, and you have a good solid baseline, you can troubleshoot further.

But anything rubber has to be replaced. Even one failed hose will cause issues

get the vag com software and check for pending codes

Chances are you have multiple failures - any rubber hose is suspect. clamps are suspect.

To replace all the turbo hoses, vacuum hoses, dv, maf, PCV hoses, plugs, coils, etc could be well over a grand in parts alone and many hours labor, although not very difficult to DIY
