Q: How do you wire up a universal O2 sensor (Bosch 15733) to a 5 wire connector?
This is for wife's 01 Beetle with AZG 2.0L engine.
Already searched the 'tex, but no useful info there.
No answer found googling the web.
I am counting on the smart people here to have an answer.
The Bosch 15733 universal sensor that I bought is listed as compatible with this engine. Wire colors: 2 white (heater), black (signal) and gray (ground).
Old FRONT sensor part number is: 06A-906-262-BC.
Its wire colors are: black, white, gray, red & yellow.
Five-wire sensors are wide band, so is replacing it with a 4 wire sensor even a good idea?
If so, the extra white on the new sensor must go to the red or yellow. Which one?????

I know your wife will really appreciate this....>>
I got mine a set of Bosch Icon wiper blades for Valentines day and she swooned. I have no idea what'll happen if I buy her a new 02 sensor....:-)
