Is this the same as for a Walbro 255 pump?? Will be installing mine shortly and this is a great DIY!!

Default Nicely done Rich....wonder if there is a way you can relieve >>>

the fuel pressure to help prevent some of the mess....maybe a combo of removing the gas cap and loosening the pressure side line at the fuel rail (which is easier to access if you have an adjustable FPR).....could do the trick. I would not want to spill gas in the interior....

Great right up as usual...and oh, did you get a package? ;-)

Default letting the car sit over night with a low tank usually lets the pressure out

just don't turn the key before your work on it...

Default Good writeup Rich. Yeah, that job is pretty messy. Making sure you are almost empty...>>

before you start helps.

Default I didn't have much pressure when I disconnected the hoses

Maybe just a few drops spilled out. I actually expected more. I did open up the gas cap though.

Lifting out the pump actually spilled more gas than unhooking the hoses. Just have to make sure you spread out some rags. After I was done I let the car sit with the windows open in the garage for a few hours to let it air out a bit. Still smelled of gas slightly after a few hours...

No package -- did you send something my way?

Default Don't know -- not familiar with the Walbro

If it replaces the OEM pump, I would imagine it is pretty close since it has to go in the same hole in the tank!
