Default Unplugged Maf and no esp light?

Hi guys

I've just bought my 3rd TT it's the 1.8T 180
It drives great but the idle is 500rpm I've checked the 51c code and running 90c so all good
The other symptoms are sudden loss of power at any remaining all of a sudden it will feel like the throttle pedal has gone and the revs drope to 500rpm again, take your foot off the throttle and press it the power comes straight back. Also the MPG seems to be high. My display is broke so I can't really see (common fault thing).

I looked about and thought I would unplug the MAF to see if there is any change but no not even the ESP light came on?? I had issues with my other TT and I know when you unplug the MAF it should come on??

I've not been thru the vac lines yet so I thought there may be something else wrong.

Has anyone else had this sort of problem?

Just a another thing to this thread. I unplugged the MAF and took it out without the CEL and it drives much smother and much more power. But it's still idling at 500rpm.

Try to adjust idle using the Ross-Tech interface cable & software. It gonna cost ya if you don't have though.
