Default Hey people!

I've been a silent lurker on the site since about October of last year (when i bought my first TT)

Bought this little guy in to save some money in order to get married and buy a house this year/next year.

Since I've had the car I've installed an intake, lowering springs, grille, new rims and Stage 1 APR tune...so much for saving money lol. Just wondering what coil overs people are running and how low can we get these things? I'm on megan racing springs they claim 1.5"/1.5" but realistically closer to 1/.8"

Got some wheels yesterday and the tires are streched a bit and smaller than stock...sooo I need some advice

thanks in advance!

Not a fan of the stretched tires on the rims....but the rims themselves are awesome. What are they -- and where did you pick them up?
Welcome to the Forum. I don't have a specific answer for you, but I anticipate you'll be getting some responses in near future.

Out of all of the tt's I've owned (on my 5th), the only one I ever dropped was a 1st gen 225 Quattro coupe using Koni's yellow strut/shock and Eibach springs. Like yourself, only a 1.5" drop. Good look, nice and stiff, but for the best riding suspension I ever drove with was the magnetic ride that came with the 2009 TTS. The button on the console only dropped it about a 1/2 inch, but ride, rebound and cornering was awesome. Those wheels are super nice, I'd like to see more rubber tho. Nothing more sexy than a big fat tire. lol. And your right, coil overs are the way to go for more low. I suppose your planning on camber adjustments too? Haha. Your TT is gonna look phat. Wish I didn't have a front plate, damn law! Grill looks nice. Good luck with mods.

The wheels are Rotiform CCV 18x9 et35 and 18x10 et25, thats why i had to use the stretch tire. Someone locally had bought them for his 2011 Jetta then tried to put them on and they were too wide. So i got an amazing deal on them, new.

The rear does poke out a bit, but the hope it to get coilers and adjust it a little bit.

I think next I should try that taillight fix. I'm suffering from the corroded ground contact

How much did you pay for the CCV's? I was thinking of purchasing a set for my TTs and I see them going from $700-1,000 on eBay. Does this seem accurate to you?

Cool, thanks for getting back to me on that. One more thing, I see you got a new grille since having the car, I can't really see it in the pictures but was it a honeycomb style grille? I'm thinking of buying that style grille but just want to make sure it'll fit on my TTs.
