Need help asap. De-tuning?
Hey guys trying to get my inspection sticker and realised this car has a tune before I got it and now won't pass. Any ideas or places in the Boston area?

Lol, Well if you didn't even know it had a tune, how do you know that the car isn't just failing the inspection cause maybe something isn't right with it? Like the converter may be bad, etc?
I'm confused. You do or you don't know it's been tuned?

Lol the guy who did the inspection told me. He said it has been tuned. But I didn't know I just figured that's how the car runs and I guess it's off of the standard ecu because there isnt a aftermarket in the car. He's real chill and said everything is running perfect it's just the tune disconnected the monitors and that's the only issue.

Not enough information given to help you. Most tuned cars still pass inspection. I'm assuming you are missing a readiness code but which one? Also that might not be caused by a tune at all. If it is tuned to ignore certain readiness codes it might also be missing said parts(cats or downstream O2 sensors). And if that is the case you can't just slap a stock ecu in there and fix it.

It may be something in the exhaust loop. I had an O2 sensor go bad on a previous TT. Didn't kick the dash idiot light, but did run a little rough. Could be something simple like that.
