TTS engine same thru life of MK2?

TTS engine same thru life of MK2?
I know in 11+ the TT engine changed from e113 base to e888.
Which opens it up for nice tuning potential. from 207 to maybe 290hp with
I am looking at the TTS and there are several decent 08-10 TTS in the right price range but is the TTS engine prior to 11 the same? I assume the MK2 TTS had the same engine throughout with no changes except for HP bump from tunes and maybe exhaust. But an 08 TTS tuned to stage 2 is the same as 2012 TTS tuned to same levels, or should be?

The TTS engine itself was unchanged. It was first sold in the US in 2009. Read this FAQ Fourtitude.com - MK2 TT a5 FAQ
