I agree...that's a different sound. But definitely while I was driving within a tight space very slowly, the soft ding-dong sounded.

It's very strange that all these TT owners don't know what you are talking about. It has been with me for a year now almost every time I start off at about 10km/hr. Nothing to do with obstacle detection, seat belt warning, but it could be passenger seatbelt off, because I usually hear it when I am the only one in the car.

I have another guess... I believe it's happening when the passenger airbag CHANGES from off to on / on to off. For example, my husband got out of the car (in that parking garage mentioned earlier) and then while driving away slowly I heard the ding dong (on to off). Another time my son got into the car after I pulled out of the garage and then it sounded when I started to drive away (off to on). Airbag now on (ding dong), air bag now off (ding dong).

Fun101: I think you're on to something. I noticed the same thing when my wife got into the car. However, it has sounded a number of times when I was alone, usually when first driving away after being parked. [but not always] Might well have something to do with airbags.

is it passenger airbag alert? It will say passenger airbag off in the center screen and make the same sound as you described
