hey folks, im now where you guys were many months ago - ive been tracking my tt across the big pond and it just moored at port of houston.

im just kind of curious - for those of you who tracked yours as well - how long did it take to go from port to your dealer? mine is relatively close to houston so im thinking it will not be long, but who knows what kinds of procedural stuff goes on?

im like a kid on christmas eve. i ordered my TT june 8 and ive been waiting all this time! aaaaahhhhhh!

For previously ordered Audis, it took less than a week to get from Houston to Minnesota.

Mine hits port tomorrow and based on prior orders I expect about a week thereafter as well.

I've been waiting since June 6th.

How did you guys figure out what ships your cars are/were on? I received an email on Monday, 11/19 saying my car was on its way to Emden, so I'm hopeful I can figure out what ship it's on so I can track it myself while it heads to San Diego. I know the drill from previous BMW orders, but I don't know the Audi shipping details. All info appreciated, thanks!

Take a look at this thread:

Assuming you meant 10/19, not 11/19, your car could be on Goliath Leader, which departed Emden on the 24th, arriving in SD on 17 November. Depends on when your car actually got to Emden.

Thanks a bunch. Yeah, I meant 10/19 (duh). Any idea how long it usually takes to get from the factory to Emden and on a ship?

In theory, it's just a day from Gyõr to Emden via either truck or train. However, there's paperwork, grouping cars, roll-off/roll-on time, etc., so it's difficult to know exactly what your load date should be. The dealer should be able to tell you when it's on (or assigned to) a boat.
