I picked up my beautiful TTS this week. I ordered the colour sight unseen and only test drove an S-line TT with 18" rims. I am so thrilled with the resulting car!
When I arrived at the dealership they had it in a special presentation room. Very nice touch. For those that have been wondering about the harsh ride of the 20" rims I will put this out there...The colour of the 20's matches the aluminum trim on the back of the car and the mirrors so perfectly I am willing to live with a moderate amount of extra "feel" on the rough roads. I'm coming off a car with 19" run-flats and these are definitely softer than that. But they do feel like you are driving a sports car and really...that's what I signed up for anyway! I was also pleased to see a real spare in the back although a hidden compartment under the trunk would have been nice too.
Loving the virtual cockpit and I'm looking forward to the day when I can find my way around the MMI and all the buttons with ease. I haven't had time to sink my teeth into the manual yet but I plan to study up and then I'm sure I'll have a few questions!
For now, a few snaps. One shows my outgoing ride - a JCW Mini Paceman. We had some good times but now I look forward to enjoying my TTS with you fellow owners.
